Micro-Business Unit (MBU)
Metabyte promotes the “company within a company” concept where our professionals are provided opportunities to establish and run Micro-Business Units (MBUs).
- Our MBU concept
Metabyte’s MBU concept came into being when we discovered that amazing results and client satisfaction were delivered if the ownership stayed in the hands of a person close to the ground floor. An MBU provides engineers or IT Professionals with good leadership skills the opportunity to lead a small team, guide it to greatness and receive profit sharing.
- How we’re different from the Big-5
At Big-5 consulting firms this level of ownership comes at a “partner” level after years of experience. At Metabyte we push that level down. We empower a person to run an MBU without bogging them down with the responsibilities of administration (sales, marketing, staffing, HR, etc.) so they can focus exclusively on what they do best — solve IT problems and help their team deliver amazing results.
- Satisfaction of being in control
Metabyte believes that decision making pushed down to a level very close to where the “rubber meets the road” is how the client benefits the most and receives unprecedented service. And, the MBU leader feels empowered to deliver the best results s/he can knowing that Metabyte’s backing is there.
- Metabyte provides best of both worlds
We deliver the intimate knowledge, expertise and customer satisfaction that a professional in a small specialized consulting shop would, but with the backing of a resourceful global organization.

Did You Know ...
According to a recent IDC study, business consulting will be an area of increasing focus and innovation for services providers, as well as greater user spending. IDC expects worldwide business consulting spending to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.9% from 2005-2010. The study attributes this upward forecast primarily to the accelerating convergence of business and IT processes. This increasing link between business and IT is in part causing nearly all general management consultancies (GMCs), advisory firms, and consulting niche players to significantly build up their technology-focused capabilities, intellectual property (IP), and talent.
